Narenrit (Boom) is a PhD student in the Thailand Academy of Science program at Mahidol University and is based at NARIT. His research focuses on galaxy evolution, particularly in low-density environments. His current work investigates whether the H I 21-cm line width, a tracer of galaxy kinematics, is connected to large-scale galaxy clustering in the local Universe (z < 0.05). He combines observations from the ALFALFA and FASHI H I surveys with cosmological simulations based on SAGE and the MultiDark Planck simulation. He is also developing a data-reduction pipeline for GTC/MEGARA integral-field spectroscopy to study the internal kinematics of galaxies.

He holds a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Astronomy from Chiang Mai University. For his master's thesis, he studied galaxies at z ≳ 6 during the Epoch of Reionization using imaging data from the Subaru Hyper Suprime-Cam Strategic Survey Program (HSC-SSP) and UltraVISTA. He selected high-redshift galaxy candidates using optical-dropout and photometric-redshift techniques, constructed the rest-frame UV luminosity function, and used it to estimate the cosmic star-formation-rate density.
